Hy guys today I wanna share my latest splurge from Sephora, the Kat Von D Shade and Light Obsession Vault !!!

I remember seeing this first time on the site few months ago with a price tag of RM900+, then earlier this year I saw that the price was deducted to RM756, so I decided to use my Sephora 10% rewards point and got this at Rm680.

The Vault came in this matte black coffin like bag with zipper, and has an embossed logo of KVD

It is still a hefty price tag but considering if I buy all of these separately it will cost me RM1162, I consider this purchase as saving money (anything to justify our splurge am I right? 😉)

Beside having slightly different packaging on each of the kit, another thing that make this vault special is this autographed card by Kat Von D herself <3

The breakdown of this vault are

• Shade+Light Contour Palette
• Shade+Light Contour Brush
• Shade+Light Eye Contour Palette
• Shade+Light Eye Contour Brush
• Shade+Light Eye Contour Quad in “Smoke”
• Shade+Light Eye Contour Quad in “Plum”

I’ve been eyeing the contour palette for a while now, since I don’t have any contour kit except a bronzer from Too Faced and a concealer which I usually use to contour my nose.

I also love the eye shadow quad set that they included in this vault which are “Plum” (matte purple) and “Smoke” (matte cool grays).

I feel if they included the shade “Rust” (matte orange brown) on this set it will be quite similar with part of the Shade and Light Eye Contour. But in this way, the whole vault offers big range of eye shadow color.

I also love love both of the brushes they included on this vault.

The contour brushes are specifically made for contouring, it picks up enough product and make it so easy to build it up up to your liking.

The eye brushes are perfect for blending product to your crease, but since the brush feels a little dense I still feel the need to use another blending brush for that perfect application.

So far I’m really impressed with this vault and think this is a good splurge if you love Kat Von D makeup line, or if you are a make up lover looking for expanding your collection <3
